Mass is the apex of the Catholic Faith. Being a confirmed Catholic means that one has accepted the invitation to faithfully follow the ways of Christ in the Catholic Faith. Therefore, it is expected that candidates for Confirmation attend Mass on weekends and on Holy Days of Obligation. The obligation to attend Mass ia a Divine Law. It is a sacred invitation that Christ has extended to us. At the center of our Catholic Faith is the sacrifice of the Eucharist. The Eurcharist can only be received at Mass and hence the importance that we faithful attend Mass.
